Captain is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Alexandria, VA, who needs $4,000 for Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL).

I adopted Captain last year from a local animal shelter. He celebrated his first birthday with me a couple of months ago, and he really enjoyed his homemade birthday cake!

Captain got injured while on a walk. He can't walk properly now because he has a dislocated kneecap, and he needs surgery at the Anicira Veterinary Center to put it back into place.

Captain is very energetic and loves to play fetch at the dog park, take long walks at the park, or just play tug at home. He also loves to nap in the sun, take car rides, and snuggle up in the bed. He is very smart and loves to train, too. He loves any kind of food, especially fruits and vegetables!

I am currently a doctoral student with a fixed yearly stipend. It is difficult to pay for his current surgery with my current income, especially since I am not allowed to work another job while I am in my program.
