Cardi came into my life two years ago. I rescued her from an animal shelter but truth be told, she rescued me. My previous cat had been with me 18 years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I truly believe that he sent Cardi to me. She has been the sweetest cat and quickly adapted to my cat centric apartment . She takes full advantage of cat towers, beds, blankets and her window perch.

Lately Cardi has been experiencing dehydration along with her chronic constipation. She has stopped drinking water and I have to add water to her wet food. It’s not enough. Her ears have become less pink as well as her gums. She is rapidly approaching crisis mode. She has an appointment for an abdominal ultrasound, an internal medicine consult and further diagnostics at Blue Pearl.

Cardi is obsessed with me. She brings me her favorite catnip fish and leaves them on the bed while I’m asleep. She loves food and takes treats from my hand. She loves watching the birds through the window and on YouTube. She flops down and shows me belly constantly. She loves me as much as I love her. Cardi is my world and makes me smile every day.

Cardi needs a lot of testing done at Blue Pearl. I’m on disability and can’t afford her life saving care. It kills me every day. I can’t lose my best friend over money.
