About this campaign
My pet cat Carl is a 4-year-old domestic shorthair. He lives with me and my family of 4 with 2 other cats and a dog. We were told when we got him he had a rough upbringing and he doesn't like to be picked up.
Carl doesn't like to be picked up or hugged (Not that it stops me from trying) but he loves to get pet and he loves his butt pats, the harder the better. He gets along with the other cats when they aren't bullying him. He doesn't fight back because he's become weaker but even when he was stronger he wouldn't engage because he is just a chill fella. Everyone loves Carl here.
Some funny thing Carl does is when we serve a glass of water for ourselves, if we leave it unattended he will start to drink from it. He also always wants attention whenever I get on my computer. Also when I lay down on the couch he will always lay on my belly so he can get his butt pats.
So we noticed that Carl has got much skinnier and now he struggles to chew food and doesn't eat often. So we took him to the Medical District Veterinary Clinic at Illinois and they told us he has Gingivostomatitis an oral disease where the cat's mouth becomes allergic to the plaque on the teeth and tongue which inflames the mouth. We were told they need to remove his teeth since there is no cure.
With my parent's property taxes going up and because I can only work part-time we can't afford this bill this soon but it is urgent because he has lost 3 pounds at a quick rate and if we cant get this done it'll only get worse and he will need more teeth taken out.
