About this campaign

Carlitos came into my life 9 years ago as a gift from my daughter. He was a puppy that she had gotten from a litter that my sister’s dog had. He is our only pet and I named him Carlitos after the movie “Carlitos Way.” It’s a great movie and a great name for him because of his character.

Carlitos has been healthy all his life , but unfortunately he had an accident that has left him with severe neck pain. His vet recommended an MRI to check the full extent of the damage, but it’s ridiculously expensive! We are trying to have the MRI done at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Fort Collins, CO.

He loves all the attention he can get and lives for the head scratches. He loves his toys, and will always carry one to bed with him. He is loved by the neighborhood and he brings happiness to everyone he meets. He truly is the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for.

Due to the job market, I have only been able to find part time work. I do not earn enough to afford the MRI and any treatment he may require. I love my best friend and it would mean the world to me to see him healthy again. I would give anything to see him happy and playful.
