About this campaign
This is Carmen. She is 10 - 12 years old, and is my very first adopted dog.
In 2010 I bought my first house, and in 2011 I decided to use that house to foster sick and injured dogs. I have a medical and survivalist background and felt that my skills would be helpful for those who needed closer care during recovery.
After my first two fosters, I realized that my life was incomplete without my own fur-baby. I knew I needed someone who would be gentle and friendly with the fosters and help aid in their recovery.
And that is when I met Carmen-Lilly.
It was 2011 at the Atlantic City ASPCA (thank you, Jackie, for introducing us) and it was love at first sight. She came right up to me with a big happy smile and an easy going stride. We were a perfect match.
Carmen enjoys running through large fields, along the beaches in North Carolina, and in the mountains of New York state. :) She loves to visit family in Maryland and climb onto my sisters lap for snuggles and naps.
