Casper is a 6-month-old Pomeranian in Del Mar, CA, who needs $2,000 for Balloon Valvuloplasty (BVP).

Casper and I have been best friends since his previous owner was no longer able to take care of him as a puppy. At just 6 months old, he was diagnosed with a severe heart condition, and without surgery, he won't make it until the end of the year. The good news is he'll be able to keep bringing joy to everyone he meets and can live a full life with the surgery!

Casper loves collecting! He brings all his toys (and anything else he can reach) to his bed and sleeps on them, we like to call it his "puppy mountain."

He also loves new friends! If you come in to say hi, you'll be greeted by a 7 pound cotton ball who can't contain his smiles and excitement to make a new friend. Pick him up and he'll sleep in your arms for hours, no matter where you are.

Casper is the most friendly bundle of joy I've ever met, that's why he's named after the friendly ghost! Me and Casper are a family of two and go everywhere together and he absolutely lights up everyone he meets.

Just last weekend we visited some retirement communities -- everyone we talked to instantly had a huge smile on their face, coming up with fun nicknames like "cloud" and "marshmallow"

Just a baby, Casper was diagnosed with Severe Pulmonic Stenosis and won't live much longer without heart surgery. With your support, he'll be able to live a full life with a successful surgery! We've found a veterinarian who will be performing the surgery, but he can't be saved until we come up with the payment.

I spent most of last year unemployed, making far below poverty level income for my area and am still paycheck to paycheck. I am putting everything I have to help save Casper, but the surgery is $9,500 and he needs it ASAP.
