About this campaign
Cat Benatar was living under a bush until September 2021, when a coworker was able to catch her and bring her home. Now she's living in a stable home with her trans dad. She was already spayed so we believe she was abandoned and was waiting outside of her previous owners home waiting for them to return.
From day one, her favorite place to be has been asleep in my lap. She is named Cat Benatar because she loves to fill the silence with chirps and meows. Love truly is, a battlefield as she loves to chase a laser pointer, stray feather, or catnip toy. She is frequently in fight mode, wanting to play, chase, run, and kill all of the inanimate toys she has.
She will not leave my lap and will climb up my legs any minute I'm standing so that I'll give her a lap to snuggle in. She eats chicken and that is it, thank you very much. Despite the reputation of cats gracefulness, she is a bit of a clumsy disaster who isn't afraid to bare her belly if it means possibly catching whatever she's hunting.
CB might have asthma. I took her into WellHaven on Park Ave in Denver and they got her x-rays and prescribed her some steroids for her cough. Good news, they helped! Bad news, it's not the safest option and it's chronic so she will need it for the rest of her life. After her steroid treatment ended, I couldn't afford to bring her back in and her cough is back and worse. She's clearly uncomfortable
She's an emotional support animal and I live in low-income housing. I have a salaried job and am living paycheck to paycheck. I just want her to be ass comfortable as possible. She can't breathe comfortably and it breaks my heart.
