Catalina Marie Melton came to live with us in July 2024 after learning my daughter needed serious surgery to deliver her baby. Catalina came from Petland in Saint louis mo. She has always lived with our family since we rescued her from Petland. She at this moment is being boarded at hicks animal hospital in poplar bluff Missouri and will remain there until we pay her bill in full.

Catalina was always picky eater and seemed to have trouble at times. We found out about her condition after her emergency surgery . Her condition lead to her bowls fusing together and she was blocked and had sepsis from internal infections. The surgery removed 8 inches of bowls and she had recovered rapidly. She is ready to come home once we find resources to pay for her surgery.

She is our emotional support animal and had brought a lot of love and joy to our home. She has routines of love as she interacts with us throughout the day. She likes to drink water from the bathroom sink and meets you every morning to say good morning and await her tuna. She is so polite she never begs and she always sleeps at the bottom of the toddler bed they were raided together.

The surgery she had saved her life but cost 1,500.00.We had 350.00 to apply to her bill but still owe 1,150.00 to be able to bring her home. This is a traumatic situation as we fight to keep Catalina safe healthy and bring her back home to us. We need her back home with us.
