About this campaign

Cayenne was only 3 weeks old when I found her. The fur on her paws hadn't fully formed and neither had her baby teeth. I have nursed her and loved her as much as humanly possible. At one point I thought I would have to give her away, but I've fought for Cayenne to be companion and best friend, and she remains by myside.

Cayenne loves laying in sun in the backyard, going on hikes with me, giving baths to me and my other dog, Olive, and loves hanging with her friends and howling. She was raised by myself and my other small Terrier, Olive, and so she burrows under the blankets with us every night. Cayenne always in the life of the party in our house, always wanting to play, howl, and walk the neighborhood.

Cayenne always gets her big flopping lips and ears stuck in her teeth, giving her a goofy silly smile. She also taught herself how to sit pretty on her hind legs. Cayenne always gives baths immediately after drinking water. Her large lips keeps water stuck in her cheeks. When she goes to bathe, water spills everywhere, it's like a real bath!

Cayenne has been in incredible shape, until this week, when a mass grew rapidly on her hide leg and needs to be removed, and biopsied. She has been shaking from how painful this mass is, and all I can do is help make her comfortable until the procedure to get it removed. Cayenne has been the image of perfect health and to see her has this potential cancerous mass is scary for her and for me.

I, like many people, are financially recovering from the pandemic. I work 4 jobs and I barely get by. My dogs keep me sane, and were one of the only things that kept me going through the pandemic. They are my constant companions and ESAs. I would do anything for them.
