My wife’s coworker one day out of the blue sent her a message asking if we wanted to buy a puppy. I initially didn’t want one, I’ve never owned a pet. I finally agreed and said yes. It was the best decision we ever made. My son at the time was doing homeschooling due to COVID, and I thought it would be great to have a puppy around him since he was going to be home alone. He became our family.

Last Thursday he was whining, we took him to the emergency at Sage Veterinary Dublin. Vet said everything was fine after fluids and a methadone injection. The next day he woke up without mobility of his rear legs. He’s in great spirits despite his current condition. He’s been on strict crate rest.

Chalino enjoys spending time with all 3 of us in his own way. He loves getting on top of my son and wife and going to sleep. With myself, he loves to fall asleep at my feet in guarding position. He goes in trips with us, just recently he visited the Grand Canyon as well as New Mexico.

I currently am the only one working, my wife was let go of her job, and I had to step up and have been working 2 jobs, 6 days a week to keep the bills paid have a roof over our head. Things have gotten so expensive it’s impossible to save money with basic needs and purchases
