About this campaign
Chance was adopted by Sebastian's family as a kitten, and I had the pleasure of meeting him 4 and 1/2 years ago. Since then he has always been by our side as our little stinkyman and more importantly our fur son. Currently we are with Sebastian's family and while Chance is our only cat there have been two dogs in the household that love him dearly just like our families.
Chance is our little biscuit maker and I have called him that from the very moment I have met him. His favorite snacks are tuna flavored and his is a big time "Tuny boy" as I call him. If he is not snuggled up to us he is usually found to be in his favorite box, in the computer chair, sunbathing in windows, and laying in the bathroom.
Chance is special as he has the most genuine, loving heart I have ever met in an animal. Throughout his whole illness the vet says he never stops purring when he is with them and we are always told by the techs how much of a sweet boy he is. He has never once been grumpy or upset during all of this and remained our happy boy.
We first started taking Chance to be seen by our veterinarian last October. We thought that he had just a bacterial infection, but it never went away. It was around March of this year when the mass showed up. We thought it was a polyp and did the first biopsy, which came back as infected tissue. Then in June we did the second biopsy, which came back as lymphoma.
Sadly, I am unemployed at this time and we are a one income home at this moment. As we are so young and trying to establish a life of our own we did not have a large emergency fund, especially for vet bills at this time.
