Chanel was a Christmas gift. She was 6 months old at the time. She is now going on 6 years old and being the only pet in my household, she is the center of daily life. She loves to be around other animals and playing with kids. Chanel is a sassy one!

Chanel sleeps with me every night, and loves to be lazy. Her snoring has become music to my ears. At the same time she never wants to miss a thing, so she is quick to jump up and go for a car ride with me. Whether we are working or visiting family she is always ready to socialize and enjoy life.

Chanel's funny personality is always entertaining. She loves to talk back to people and make sure they know she is present while being playful. She only barks when we are home and she is guarding me. She is adaptive to the mood I display to her so if I am relaxing she is right next to me or if I am wanting to play then she is all for it. Always on the same page and happy doing it.

Chanel needs emergency surgery and is currently at the MedVet ER Hospital in New Orleans. Suddenly she rapidly has lost the ability to walk and is in severe pain. Progressively worsening daily she needs care that only the ICU is able to provide until the team can do surgery. They expect her to make a full, successful recovery if they can get this done as soon as possible.

The costs of the surgery and hospital stay being so unexpected and needed immediately is not possible for me to satisfy. I cannot give up on her knowing this surgery is a necessity for her to be able to enjoy many years of a good comfortable life to come that she deserves.
