Chanel is a 1 year old golden retriever/sharpei mix, my husband and i were moving into out first apartment together and seen a listing for Chanel on Craigslist, immediately we fell in love! We met up with Chanel’s previous owner and right away we knew we saved her from a very domestic household, she was very frail, dirty and looked poorly treated, as soon as she came home with us, she blossomed!

Chanel gained instant happiness when we first brought her home, she gained all her healthy weight, her energy levels boosted and she became attached with love to us. She is very friendly and absolutely the best cuddler EVER! Everyone is quick to want to pet her and say hello to her, she loves the attention for sure!

She loves sleeping on her back propped in the corners of every room, she also likes to nibble on toes so watch your feet lol! and if she sees a puddle or a lake, maybe even the ocean.. you better watch out because she will jump in and she’ll make sure you’re coming with.

Chanel was recently on her usual walk where she found herself being very afraid of something she sensed in the bushes, she yanked herself off of her leash my husband was holding and ran into on coming traffic near a highway where she was then hit by a car that had no interest in stopping, not even to check on her. When rushed to emergency, we were hit with the diagnosis of her leg being fractured

I am a sahm who has just given birth to my newborn son. My husband works full time and over time hours to afford everything we have and the bills get very expensive, after a very stressful day Chanel is always there to greet him with a warm smile and a whole lot of jumping!
