About this campaign
Chanel is a doll face Persian cat, I actually took in this cat from somebody who was moving to California and could not bring her with them. Chanel is an amazing cat. She is sweet to everybody. She loves car rides to Lake of the Ozarks every weekend. She will sit on our lap and enjoy the ride. Chanel is a 10/10 once in a lifetime cat.
Chanel, being a Persian cat is susceptible to eye problems as they get older.
About a year or two ago , Chanel developed a condition called Corneal Sequestrum & is extremely painful. It creates a black dot of dead tissue which could eventually rupture the eyeball which we are terrible scared of.
We have put her on eye drops and a oral medicine that she needs several times a day
Chanel loves catnip, playing with her favorite little mouse toy, and sitting in her favorite window seat. Chanel’s personality has shifted in the past month or two showing she’s an incredible amount of pain.
Chanel’s eye doctor is $200-$300 per visit for the past year. We have been going every two months. Her eyedrop are 100 a bottle, and we go through these quick. We are trying to put off surgery, but we have been quoted $4000. We do not have pet insurance for this. :(
