About this campaign

Chappie a beautiful American Pitbull Terrier came into my life about 8 years ago. A wonderful co-worker had a litter of 8 puppies and I was lucky enough to adopt one. We currently are renting a room in a small apartment in San Diego. I am soo grateful to have this beautiful dog as part of my life.

Chappie quickly builds a repour with anyone he is around. Everywhere that I have lived he has changed minds about the Pitbull breed in positive way. He will try to sneak on your lap and loves his cuddles. He is wonderful around my nieces and nephews and has always been a gentle giant around them.

Every place that we visit he always finds a chair to sit in, it so funny. First it started with the chairs around the dinner table then quickly he tried to fit in all the different chairs in the house with mixed results. Some dogs are people friendly and Chappie is people needy! He will lay down in the center of high foot traffic areas with the hope of getting more pets and attention.

I first noticed a small red lump on my dogs scrotum. After it persisted for two weeks I brought him in to Pet Hospital of North Park where they told me it was just skin irritation. After two weeks the lump persisted. I took Chappie to Bodhi Animal Hospital where a sample was tested. The test results came back as a Mast cell carcinoma. A 3,577$ procedure will be needed to remove the tumor.

I have lost a job and moved around until I found my current job. During this time I acquired a lot debt leaving me in a venerable position financially. I understand that I am responsible for my financial situation but do not want to make my beautiful dog suffer.
