About this campaign
I am starting this campaign on behalf of the Connolly family as a close friend and fellow dog lover. My dog Molli Dane met her best fur friend and love of her life Charlie Connolly over 4 years ago when they were just puppies. They have remained close, as they see each other several times a week and have play dates in their yards.
Recently, Charlie has been diagnosed with a form of eye cancer – Uveal Melanoma. Sadly, Charlie’s eye cannot be saved and needs to be removed by a specialist. This surgery along with medication will cost between $4,000-$5,000. As long as the cancer remains localized and has not spread, Charlie is healthy enough to undergo the procedure. Charlie is an emotional support dog to the Connolly kids and is also a service dog to his mom who has epilepsy. Not only is Charlie an amazingly sweet and well-behaved family pet, but he is also an essential part of this family’s health. He deserves this chance to heal and live a long life. Molli wants many more years with her puppyhood friend.
Charlie's mom is going through a tough time. She is going through a divorce and is now a single mom, with a low paying job. Her kids have special needs and Charlie's mom has epilepsy. Also, this family's extended family members are battling cancer, too.
