Charlie is a 5-year-old Chihuahua, Terrier, Dachshund, Pomeranian, Poodle in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Treatment .

I would like to say that I found Charlie, but the reality is he really found me. In the summer of 2015, I floated the river in Texas with a bunch of friends. At the end of the float, we saw this little stray puppy running around. We asked around to see if anyone knew who he belonged to, but it turns out he had no owner in sight. I ended up with the little guy & we've been best buds ever since.

Charlie has been the sweetest, cutest ad greatest addition to my life that I could have ever imagined. He got attached really quickly and we had an instant bond. I took him everywhere with me. Everyone that met Charlie loved him. He was playful, loved kids, and loved to wrestle and play with other dogs. It was just him and I living in my apartment and he could not have been a better companion.

This loss was very sudden, traumatic and unexpected. Especially during such a time of unrest and uncertainty with our country's current state. The vet couldn't save my dog, and now has charged $3500 for a 24 hour stay in the hospital.

My Charlie boy had a very sudden and unexpected death. He was perfectly healthy when all of the sudden he started vomiting every few hours. I took him to my vet & they said to wait it out. But, he got worse and later I rushed him ER vet after he started seizing and went completely limp. Unfortunately, the vet didn't save him. He went septic and passed. :(

Charlie loved to sleep in. He was unlike any other dog I have ever known. He would wake me up to eat, but then had to go to right back to bed after. Some mornings, I had to literally force him to get out of bed and start the day. He was the funniest, quirkiest little guy. He also LOVED to sunbathe. He would ask daily to be let out on my deck to lay in the sun.
