About this campaign
Charlie was rescued in N. Carolina thru "One Man's Junk" site. He was brought up to Philadelphia on June 2015 and that's when our lives with Charlie began. He has helped me thru the most difficult times by providing a lot of lovies and laughter. It has been difficult without him being at home with us.
Charlie is a misunderstood pup as he's gone thru so much prior to living with us. We had to learn to trust each other and ever since, he has been my shadow around the house. He loves to snuggle with us when we sleep. He is a ladies man and he knows it. He turns heads whenever and wherever we walk around the city; he gets "cat-called" by so many strangers.
Charlie loves to play tag with the beach waves, he loves to dig wallows to lay in, and roll around in the sand. He is an ultimate beach pup. He howls at us when we're not giving him attention. He is a snack monster; He'll throw toys at our feet to "trade" for treats. He's our footwarmer and doorbell. He loves to observe and watch the world go by. He "runs" and "whoops" in his sleep.
Charlie showed no symptoms of any illness until we noticed his demeanor suddenly changed. He became non-responsive. On our way to the emergency vet, we almost lost him. They informed us that he ruptured his spleen and had internal bleeding. He needed surgery, transfusion, and other medical interventions. He is currently being treated at Pinnacle Vet Specialists.
We got into a car accident 2 months ago, just bought a house with a big yard (specifically for Charlie), and I recently started a new job. I'm the primary caregiver for him and I am financially struggling. We need $2000 to help with his medical and for him to come home soon.
