Charlie Brown and Cha Cha are 8-year-old Schnauzers in La Vergne, TN, who need $248 for Stage 4 Periodontal Disease Treatment and Tooth Extractions.

We got 2 dogs from this social media board looking to re-home them on Sunday (11/1). My son has special needs and with funds tight, this was the most economical approach to get him therapy animals. We're new dog owners and when we got them, we noticed a smell/odor on them but I just thought they needed a good bath and some TLC. Well we bathed the dogs when we got home and that did not take the odor away.

We immediately made Vet appointments at the county's humane organization to have them get an overall health check-up. We went to the vet on Wed. (11/4), and after that visit we were in shock, saddened, devastated, and heartbroken with the number of problems that came out. Their re-homer lied about the age of the dogs; we were told they were 5yrs old, and come to find out they are both 9yrs old.

As it turns out teeth extractions are expensive. The vet told us the dogs are suffering and in pain from their dental health and the other things going on with them. We don't have the money as we're on hard times ourselves. Please help.

We don't know what to do! My son has special needs and have gotten attached to the dogs. We would love to keep them but we can't afford these bills. For the Vet visit on 11/4 we spent hundreds, getting full physicals, overall health checks, all vaccinations, and heart worm testing for both dogs and we're already getting public aid and going to food banks for our needs.

The clinic advised us that the male (Charlie Brown) has Bilateral Cataracts and Severe Periodontal Disease (Stage 4/4) and advised that all of his teeth need to be removed.
The girl (ChaCha) has Flea issues and Skin problems. Her skin is inflamed from the Fleas, she has several sebaceous (benign growths) on her stomach & she also has Stage 4 Periodontal Disease and need her teeth removed also.
