About this campaign

Charlie unexpectedly came into my life six years ago when a friend/colleague forced me to go to the local humane society to meet Charlie. At the time, I did not believe I had the time/ability to be responsible for a dog. However, Charlie and I immediately had an unbreakable bond. A week Charlie went up for adoption and I sat outside in 5 degree weather for 8 hours to ensure I could be his dog dad!

Charlie recently developed a mass on his back hind leg that the vet believes could be cancerous. On January 16, 2025 Charlie is scheduled to have this mass removed and evaluated to determine if additional cancer could be present in other parts of his body. Charlie maintains regular veterinary services at Quail Hollow Veterinary Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Charlie truly is the sweetest dog in the world as he greets everyone he meets with a huge smile and a wagging tail. Charlie is simply one of those dogs that can never be replaced as he is kind, compassionate, and so gentle. He provides unconditional love to not only myself but my friends and family. Charlie makes the world a better place solely with his existence as his happiness is contagious:)

I work full-time with a limited income and am also a full-time graduate student actively paying my way through school with limited extra available at end of each month. Having Charlie healthy means he gets to continue spreading his joy to all he encounters!
