About this campaign

I adopted Charlie during the COVID crisis in 2020 from an Amish breeder in Reed City. He was the very last puppy of the litter of 5. He loves to hike, swim and ice cream as a snack, he is the best, sweetest friend anyone could have. He lives with my daughter and I in Gibraltar Michigan, and has become the best friend I could ever have

In October of 2023, I noticed a lump appear on his tail. When the lump did not get smaller, I made a visit with his vet who diagnosed his bump as a mast cell tumor. We were referred to Animal Cancer Imaging Center in Canton and were told he needs his tail amputated to prevent the cells from spreading. His surgery is scheduled for 4.30.24.

Charlie is the happiest, outgoing pup that has ever been in my life. He loves to swim in the river or pool any chance he gets, go on long hikes and cuddle with me as close as he can. He has saved me emotionally and mentally in the difficult times of COVID as well as being a non judgemental, happy, tail wagging companion I could have ever hoped for

Unfortunately, I have spent 17 years working in any capacity I can to support my daughter and myself and animals as a single mom. I personally have lupus and having Charlie sick and not well and the possibility of dying has been tragic to us
