I saved Charlie from Comstock NY from a home that I'd classify as a house of horrors for animals in July. The second we came together we were inseparable. I struggle with mental illnesses and she helps me so much she is the light for me in the darkness and she struggles from her previous life so I always say we were meant to help each other even through all her pain she is always happy and loving.

She has anxieties from being attacked by other dogs over bred and kept in a cage previously but she is loving. We have 2 male cats and she loves to lick them and watch them play. She is picky about treats loves a bit of wet food with dry. Shes hesitant and may seem scared around men but loves attention and to be pet and loves to play with the one dog she trust who is a big old husky guy next door.

I am disabled and struggle with mental illness. She helps me more then she even knows. I feel so lost and sad with her in so much pain from her accident. I saved her to give her a loving safe forever home where she could find comfort and safety it would mean the world to me!

Charlie was hit by a National Grid truck on Saturday at 1130 am in front of her home. She was taken to Emergency Vet at Northway and the x-rays showed her scapula was destroyed by the accident leaving her in incredible pain and in need of amputation. She is scheduled for the surgery at Countryside Animal Hospital in Queensbury NY on Thursday.

Charlie is the biggest snuggler if she trusts you she will come put her paw on you and that's asking if she can sit on your lap. She loves to be brushed and gets excited when I first wake up. She absolutely cannot control her excitement! She helps me through my anxieties when I leave my home and even when we are at home she never leaves my side - she is so loving
