Charlie is a 14-year-old Maine Coon in Manchester, NH, who needs $393 for cancer-related medical costs.

Fourteen years ago my children came to me said Charlie had been wandering streets for a while & needed a home. He was maybe 6 months old, if that. So we began by leaving food out for him, fearing he was abandoned. He was always around so we took him in, from there it was pure love especially for my youngest then 7 & now 21 years old. Charlie grew up with 2 other males Rocky and Charlie. They fought but played harder.

Charlie loved his head scratched would yawn every time when scratched. He sat & slept on our table & would greet us every time we came home. He loved to play with pens, his favorite. He would give a friendly bite when playing. So we named him Charlie from the video " ouch Charlie that really hurt, Charlie bit me" he was double pawed & criss crossed his paws real fancy like. He was so loved by all.

Charlie was very vocal all the time, especially if he wanted something. Charlie hated thunder storms, he'd get very nervous. We were mutually affectionate, he would purr loudly. He loved to climb and lay on myself, husband or my youngest Son as they were very close. He was so handsome. Charlie loved his cat treats, cat nip. He made such a loving impact on us all. He was always healthy and happy.

Earlier yesterday evening out of the blue Charlie began labored breathing. We called his vets Lockridge Animal Hospital in Manchester NH We brought him in immediately. We just knew somehow in our hearts it would be bad news. We were greeted by Krystyna Hinz, DVM . He was given Oxygen and examined. They came and told us he had a large cancerous mass in his stomach and it was too late. We are so heart broken 💔

My husband, out of work. He had surgery to have cancer removed from his eyelid yesterday. I am on disability. We have limited income, barely getting by. Overdue for car, phone bill. Utilizing food pantries. This was a complete shock. And we cannot afford to pay this. Help appreciated
