About this campaign

Charlie was part of a litter of 5 puppies born on February 7th. Her mom is my female beagle, Gracie, who unexpectedly became pregnant. Her brothers and her all live together with me and their mom. Charlie and her brothers are all named after characters in the movie Top Gun :). She is a lover and a snuggler and loves her dog and human family.

The pups all sleep together, usually in my bed (I'm glad I have a king size). Her favorite game is to hide her bones. Depending on how tasty they are though. If a bone is tasty to her she won't eat it, but rather search around the house for a place to hide it. I have found her bones in places like the laundry basket, empty boxes and of course in the couch cushions.

Whenever I have a little candy treat I share it with Charlie. My favorite are Mike & Ikes. Charlie doesn't eat it though, she gets low on the ground and barks at it like she's saying "this is my floor, now shoo!". And it's not just a regular bark, she howls at that candy! She also likes to run circles around the island with her brothers.

Charlie is primarily an inside dog. And like any dog I've known, they crowd the door when you come in or go out. She accidentally got outside along with one of her brothers. We searched and searched and could not find her. The next day we learned she limped her way up to a neighbor's house after being hit by a car. She has a displaced tibial fracture of her right leg. I cannot afford surgery

I am a single mom of three. My paycheck covers a roof over my head, transportation, electricity and food. I have no ability to even save up money for this surgery.
