About this campaign
We adopted Charlie last year from Lapcats. Our intention was to adopt him to keep our other recently adopted female cat, Basil, company. Little did we know that Basil who we adopted from SPCA - was PREGO. SPCA’s record indicated that Basil was neutered so the 5 kittens were a huge surprise. Charlie was promoted to “Uncle Charlie”, and he was soo good with the kittens.
After Basil had her kittens we kept two of them & we now have a family of 4 cats. We have mom & two daughters Basil, Lavender & Chamomile. Charlie is our only boy, and only non-related cat. They all get along so well! Charlie can be timid around people, but I love that he gets along with the other cats.
I have recently graduated grad school with my Master’s in Teaching. I am looking for a full time teaching job, but I am currently a server at a Japanese Restaurant. The restaurant industry has been hit hard by COVID & income is not what it used to be.
According to Charlie’s vet Catherine Loughner at the VCA Greenback Animal Hospital located at 8311 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks -Charlie needs a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery. Charlie has fractured his hip bone, and this is apparently common in male neutered cats. Charlie was vulnerable because he is young and his growth plates are still developing.
Charlie is our baby & boy & a cuddler. He even gives kisses by pushing his face into yours and kinda sniffs. During the night Charlie will come into bed & cuddle & he lets me wrap my arm around him like a teddy bear. He really is the most perfect cat. He is genuinely laid back, and the most chill of our 4 cats.
