About this campaign

I suppose you could say it was love at first head bunt. Charlie was a tiny kitten in the quarantine section of the Rochester Hills Humane Society, separated from the rest because of an eye infection. I didn't notice him at first and nearly walked by his cage when I heard a high pitch meow as if to say, "Take me out of here right Meow!" Charlie has lived with me in my apartment ever since in Troy.

Charlie has had some off and on issues with crystals in his bladder and now possibly stones. What was once cured easily by anti-biotics during a previous trip to the vet unfortunately just manifested as a urinary blockage. When the vet told me it was life threatening, I rushed him to an Urgent Care Blue Pearl where they unblocked him. He's home now but I fear he re-blocked and will need surgery.

Well, I might have been one of his first head bunts, but he has greeted everyone he's met in similar fashion. Type of cat to come right up to you and shake your paw. A Maritime Tabby, I'd imagine he would be a good mouser on a battleship if enlisted. My co-workers ask about him, my friends hold him in extreme high regard and he's my best friend who has been by my side through thick and thin.

Looking at a $2700 bill from Blue Pearl is hard, but they also want an additional 5-7k for surgery. I contacted Hartrick in Royal Oak and Dr. Syed quoted me $2200- $2600. This price will save Charlie's life! Charlie is worth saving! He's got a lot more head bunts to give!
