About this campaign

Sweet Charlotte started out in the world for sale in a pet shop. Someone purchased her and quickly returned her because she could barely walk. Instead, she dragged her legs behind her!

Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary saved her and immediately took her to a surgeon.

Charlotte has luxating patellas (dislocated kneecaps) in both her hind legs. On a scale of 1 to 4, hers is a grade 4. Both patellas are out of the joint, and her muscle loss progressed because she was confined in a tiny cage her entire life.

Charlotte will need at least two major surgeries:

The first operation will make some critical soft tissue changes, and the second will be on her bones to keep the knee caps in place. The total price for her surgeries will be around $10,000.

"No matter the cost, this girl deserves to walk just like everyone else," Judy D., with the rescue, tells Waggle.

Speak! Rescue and Sanctuary's focus is saving special needs pups, and Charlotte is undoubtedly remarkable.

"Her joyous tail is constantly wagging, no matter how difficult it is for her to navigate her world or how much it might hurt," Judy says.

Please give so Charlotte may walk!
