About this campaign
Chase has been with us since the day he was born. We were helping a friend by caring for his mom, Diva, when we realized she was pregnant. Mt friend came back for momma Diva, and the rest of the litter went to friends and coworkers but we knew Chas÷ was meant to be ours. My daughter was 5 at the time and she named him after her favorite character from the cartoon Paw Patrol.
Chase is truly my soul mate in the form of a cat. He has a completely sweet gentle temperament. I've never heard him hiss, nor scratch or bite anyone to this day. Although he is nice to all, he has always had a special attachment to me. He follows me around, and I can always count on him to fall asleep on top of my chest.
I tend to sit on the floor and scroll my phone, admittedly with hunched shoulders. Chase loved to crawl right up my back and sit on my back as if I were a table. Throughout all of the uncertainty as a single mom over the last 6 years he has remained the boy closest to my heart.
3 days ago chase was eating and behaving normally, until I heard him hiss. It caught my attention and I was very confused, looking back he must have been in pain. He quickly declined and started throwing up white foam and wouldn't drink or eat. His mouth is so dry it looks painful. He is lethargic and won't accept hydration even when I use a dropper and slowly provide it to him. My heart breaks.
I have no money to get him seen by the vet. I'm a single mom responsible for mine and my daughters 2 bedroom apartment. I've recently started a new job, and wasn't working for almost a month . I've also had to repair our only working car, which has me barely scraping by.
