About this campaign

I adopted Cheech in May of 2018 from a shelter. He was bald and had been recovering from menge. He is the sweetest, loving, and adorable dog I have ever
owned. He is my first dog as an adult. I have only had him for 10 months but it feels like a lifetime of memories I have shared with this dog. Our bond is
unbreakable and I don't think I will ever find another dog like him. In January of 2018 we were coming back from the store and he jumped out of my car and yelped
in pain. I took him to the vet assuming he tore something. The vet performed xrays and found that he had 1. been shot by bird shot from a previous owner in the
leg. and 2. He had a tumor on his bone. The vet diagnosed him with osteosarcoma in Feb. 2018. His tumor has grown very fast and we took the first available
appointment to see a surgeon. The surgeon told us that his scans are negative for cancer other than his leg. If she removes the leg she will be able to save him.
The surgery is 4,000 dollars I didn't have. I have been working double shifts trying to save enough money but have come short 1,000.00 If you could consider
Cheech for this grant I would be eternally grateful. His surgery is scheduled for tomorrow 04/03/2019 and Im probably going to have to cancel if I cannot come up
with the funds.
