About this campaign
When Chester was just a tiny newborn one of my coworkers at the time told me about him. He was the runt and nearly died. He had to be treated for worms twice.
I took him in and he became a healthy, happy cat who got along well with my other cats pretty much from the start.
He is very sweet and cuddly and thinks all food is supposed to be Chester food.
Chester loves me the most. He follows me everywhere. If my daughter is here he will also snuggle her. He likes people in general. He gets along well with the other cats, but will steal their food and treats if we don't watch him.
If friends visit he goes to them for pets and snuggles. He will love on the neighbors if he gets out into the hall.
He's such a spoiled baby. He thinks I'm supposed to be holding him if I'm sitting down, even in the bathroom. He can be a tad clumsy and sometimes falls off the bed, then looks at me all startled. He loves to cuddle with the other cats. We lost one of his buddies recently and the 3 remaining now seem to cuddle more than ever.
Initially, we're treating wheezing and sniffling that hasn't cleared up after we got Covid last year.
The vet thinks he might be diabetic as well which would require long term treatment. Right now, I'm looking for help with initial lab work costs and diagnostics as I'm in the process of applying for disability myself.
My health has deteriorated significantly since March 2020. After getting Covid twice in 2022, I've deteriorated even more rapidly. I've had to switch to part time employment and have started a disability claim.
My cats are vital to my mental health and well-being.
