Chewbacca (Chewy) is a 13-year-old Cocker Spaniel in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Fine Needle Aspiration (FNC).

Chewbacca or always known as Chewy to me and most came into my life in 2009 as a gift from my mother. We have spent an amazing 13 years together. I got the inspiration for his name from the movie called Star Wars because he resembles one of the alien characters by the name Chewbacca. We are currently living in an apartments with help from the Volunteers of America.

Chewy is an amazing companion and sleeps on my bed nighty. On his good days he loves to chase lights (like a
little cat). He also loves treats, going on walks, riding in cars, and generally spending time with me cuddling. He's an amazing being. I call him my little soul... And honestly if it were possible I would take years off my life just so that I could spend more with him...

My Chewy use to have a four-legged friend named Max who was a Charleston Cocker Spaniel, but since moving to Colorado, it's just us. He has an enormous amount of toys that he likes to bargain with for treats which is really cute because even if he knows he's had his limit of treats for the day. He'll still go into his toy area and bring me one in hopes of getting more, which works sometimes. Unlik

At the beginning of 2022, Chewy had to have some teeth removed and a mass removed that was non-cancerous on his gums that was a little bit smaller than a dime. On 7/18/22 I had to take him to the vet because his eye had swelled up with blood and then he was having issues with his leg on 8/15/22. All of the issues have resolved, but now he has an issue with a mass growth near his butt

I am currently in an apartment and my rent is paid for by the Volunteers of America because I am unemployed any and all of my savings has been spent on theses last few vet visits for Chewy, so I am hoping to get assistance for this upcoming visit to the vet
