Chewbacca is a 11 month old Labrador Retriever in Milton, FL, who needs $7,000 for Gastronomy & Enterotomy Surgery.

I got ChewBacca (Chewy) from my best friend when her female lab became unexpectedly pregnant with a litter at the end of last year. Currently I have him, his brother Onyx (11mos), and Penny (Penelope 8yrs) along with their human brother Dylan living with me.

Chewy ingested pieces of a vinyl toy that was gifted to us, that has caused a major obstruction in his intestines and has not been able to successfully pass any of the pieces seen on the x-ray over the last 48 hours. Surgery is the only option at this point. He is being seen at Animal Hospital of Pea Ridge in Milton.

Chewy is one of a kind. I knew that there was something special about him when he came running full force out of my best friends house and stumbled down off the porch into the grass completing a summersault in the process and landing and looking around as if to check if anyone was watching. He is a ball full of energy some days I think “I’m in over my head with this one.”

Due to this extremely unforeseen event and having just gotten the puppies a couple months ago, I do not have between $5,000 -7,000.00 laying around to just tell them to do the surgery. Anything that anyone can help with would’ve greatly appreciated.
