I have my fur baby since he was 3 months old and he is now 8 years old. I rescued him from an abusive environment. He was under nourished and matted. It took me 2 years to earn his trust. I couldn't pet him at first because he would be afraid because he was hit before. I believe he saved me because I have anxiety and depression due to an accident. He has rescued me through my panic attacks. I lost my job due to the accident.

It is only myself and Chewy at home. He is the ray of sunshine in my house. With my depression there have been days where I don't want to wake up. When I was a teenager I lived in the streets. I did not have love of my parents and tried to commit suicide. I got these thoughts all over again as an adult and decided to rescue a fur baby. He has been my world. I never knew how much I could love this little one.

I had an accident and have not been able to go back to work due to my back injury. I had previous vet bills when Chewy was diagnosed with epilepsy. That was my savings. Having my baby healthy again will mean that he is no longer in pain and that he can be happy again with me.

My baby started with a horrible cough when I took him to Washington Animal Hospital in Whittier, CA. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia and K-9 Covid. His breathing was so bad he was hospitalized. Dr. Chang called me the second day he was there and said to be prepared because the breathing issues and his size he might not make it. Days later he's been seen by Dr. Hussain.

I have been so blessed ever since this fur baby came into my life. He is so smart. He starts running back and fourth and starts being so silly with his toy. He grabs his favorite toy (Nessy) every night. He has this toy since he was 3 months old and takes it to bed. When he sees me crying or having panic attacks he comes and licks my face to let me know I'm not alone. He knows when I'm cooking for him.
