Chichi is a 12-year-old Chihuahua in Reading, PA, who needs $1,826 for Removal of a Mass.

Chichi came into my life in 2016 at one of the lowest points of my life. I nearly ran her over in the streets of Philadelphia, she was so skinny, stinky and scared as if she had been on the streets for a while. I immediately fell in love with her and wanted her but the person I was with kept her. After they got tired of her they came to me and sold her to me which I was happy to give them what they wanted as long as I had chichi . I later found out that the person that sold her to me used to hit her as well. Once chichi came into my life I vowed to protect her and keep her safe from anyone and anything. My life wasn't always hunky-dory I am a recovering addict and Chichi saved my life, she made me want to get clean and become a better person and thanks to her I am a better version of what I used to be. Chichi has also opened the door to many more fur babies. I am now the proud mama of six beautiful fur babies. Right now we are going through a difficult time and are basically homeless. I found a job so I am trying to save up to find us a home again but giving my babies up or surrendering them is not an option. They are the reason I am strong and still alive that's why it is important to me to try to get my baby's surgery done and give her a fighting chance. Back in 2020 she developed pyometra and I almost lost her then but thank God I was able to get her operated and give my baby another chance at life. She is more of a daddy's girl but I know she loves her mama as well. Chichi and the rest of her sisters and brothers sleep with me and Chichi enjoys burrowing under the covers, she is a bed hogger. LOL she gets very jealous of her brothers and sisters but she has came around to tolerating them. Her favorite treat is a Slim Jim. About 2 months ago I noticed like a pimple like bump next to one of her nipples and in the course of 2 months it has grown. I was finally able to get her into that at Humane Society which said he would like to remove the lump and get it checked for cancer. He would also like to do some dental work on her since she has really bad teeth so I am coming to ask for help in hopes to get my babies surgery done, my main concern right now is the lump which without the dental will only be like 1,100 if I can get the lump removed I can later try to come up with the money for the dental. Chichi is the alpha in in the house. She's more of a daddy's girl but loves her mama. Most of the time she likes staying to herself but from time to time she will play with the others. Her favorite is my four pounder who has been with her the longest. She doesn't really like to be around other people unless it's her daddy and mama.

What makes me laugh about Chichi more is the way she demands her attention. But what I love most about her is that she knows when I need her and she comes to me to comfort me, that's why I know that even though she's a daddy's girl she has mama's heart.

About 2 months ago Chichi developed a pimple like bump next to one of her nipples that has grown since then. I was finally able to take her to a low-cost vet at Humane Society. The doctor recommended getting it removed and tested for cancer. He would also like to perform some dental work because her teeth are so bad . My main priority is getting the lump removed and checked out for cancer . They will not make an appointment for surgery until I have at least half of the money up front.

I am basically homeless but recently found a job a month ago and I am trying to save up to find us a home again. It is important for me to get Chichi healthy again because she is awesome in our life, she turned our life around for the best and my baby deserves a fighting chance. My babies are my life my world and my everything.
