About this campaign
My dog was a rescue from Ecuador and has lived in the US with me for 7 years. She lives with me and my husband in an apartment in NY and has been my support for many years. She is our only pet and we love her very much. We named her Chicky because her mom was named Chicky plus she was also the smallest in the litter.
My poor baby has been suffering for a few weeks now due to on and off vomiting. When we took her to the vet, it was discovered that she was diabetic and that her glucose was in the 500 range. They wanted to hospitalise her but the estimate of this was just too costly for us $3,670. We ended up leaving with only the insulin to give her but now she’s not eating and we’re very afraid.
Chicky is a funny and loving pug. She’s very friendly with people and dogs for the most part but can display some jealousy at times. Her favorite foods are eggs and mandarines and she loves to take naps with us.
It will mean the world to us to see our baby healthy again. I have been out of work for over a month due to my immigration status (Now Approved). I’ll be going back to work within 1 week but I just can’t afford this expense right now and I’m devestated.
