About this campaign
At just 5 to 6 months old, Chiclet should be spending her days chasing toys, climbing cat trees, and discovering the world around her.
Instead, this tiny kitten is living with a painful eye injury that can only be resolved through surgery.
Chiclet was taken in by Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption, where she is finally receiving the care and compassion she deserves. After being evaluated by a veterinarian, it was determined that her injured eye will need to be removed to relieve her pain and prevent future complications.
Right now, Chiclet is still too small for surgery. She must reach at least 2 pounds before she can safely undergo anesthesia, so her rescue team is carefully monitoring her growth while making sure she stays comfortable until she is ready for her procedure.
This fundraiser will help cover Chiclet's veterinary examinations, surgery, medications, and post-operative care so she can recover safely and enjoy a happy, pain-free future.
Despite everything she has been through, Chiclet is still just a kitten with her whole life ahead of her. With your support, Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption can give her the medical care she needs and the second chance she deserves.
Thank you for helping sweet Chiclet take the next step toward a healthy, comfortable life.

Update: Look at Chiclet Now!
Remember sweet little Chiclet? Her glow-up has us feeling ALL the feelings.
When we first shared Chiclet’s story, we were asking for help with her medical care after she was found all alone in a parking lot, desperately needing someone to help her. Her eyes were severely infected, she was feeling terrible, and this tiny girl had a long road ahead of her.
Now look at her!
After lots of love, care, and much-needed medical treatment, Chiclet is thriving! She loves spending time playing and exploring in our cat room.
Seeing Chiclet happy, playful, and enjoying life after everything she went through makes our hearts so full. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated to help Carolina Animal Rescue & Adoption provide the treatment and veterinary care that got Chiclet to this point.
But we’re still working to cover the cost of the care she received. If you’re able to donate, your support will help us pay for Chiclet’s veterinary expenses and continue saying yes to other animals who need us.
And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing Chiclet’s story. Every share helps more people see her journey and gives her rescue another chance to reach someone who may be able to help.
Thank you for being part of Chiclet’s journey and helping give this sweet little girl the chance to feel better, play, and simply be a kitten. ❤️
