About this campaign
Chico came to my life when he was a puppy. My friend could not take care of him because she was in the military in and out of sea and I was getting out of the service. We've been together for 4 years. We became attached because my children and I found comfort in him. He has been a healthy dog, I never had an issue with him, until recently. One of his favorite things is to role in the grass.
He is an awesome friend! He is a sweet heart and loves everyone and everyone loves him. He loves to play catch. When you are sitting down, he would go up to you so you can scratch his head to anyone. He likes watching the Pet Channel and barks at the TV when other dogs come on and also to the cats. He is funny.
Our family is down to one income because of the Covid and been using our savings to stay afloat and selling items. Chico means the world to me and I hate seeing him in pain. I am trying everything to raise money to pay for his surgery and get him back to his old self.
On August 27, he turned for the worst. He was not feeling well and I took him to the Hospital. They said it was a stomach virus then the next day. He could not walk and took him back. The veterinarian stated he need additional attention from a neurologist. I took him to the neurologist, he stated given his breed, he has Type I intervertebral disease is considered to be the main possible cause.
He is spoiled and he knows what he can get away with. When he wants something, he will turn to his stomach for you to scratch him. Sometimes when he wants something, you can hear him trying to say something to you. When you are on the couch he will come to you and lay on your feet. He is also plays a lot with our cat, they are buddies.
