About this campaign
I have lived with my human parents since I was rescued at 8 weeks out, and I have a life that is pretty easy I have the comforts of home food in my tummy soft beds to lay on a doggie door to go in and out while they are at work and a sister Maggie to keep me company. I get treats but not too many of them, walks, rides, outings and vacations.
Chihiro has been a very sweet girl all 14 years of her life in our household. She loves belly rubs from anyone and everyone that comes through our door. Anytime someone comes through our gate she greets them with some barks sniffs and a bunch of tail wags. She is not aggressive in any manner. Once you are in our yard you are under her protection.
We both have full-time jobs only an unexpected expense like this along with our other bills is a bit more than what we can handle. We have managed to pay for her her surgerys in the past and have paid for her CT scan and are just needing help with this.
She has what is called a soft cell sarcoma cancer the tumor is about the size of a softball on the outside. Although the surgeon Dr James at the VCA (advanced veterinary care center) said that once it is removed it would be about the size of a small dinner plate. With the exception of my tumor and some arthritis I am a pretty healthy girl. I do not allow it to get the best of me.
She has never been a mother but mothered our oldest dog when he was living I guess because of her breed. She did however mother a little kitten that we rescued. She has many personalities that anyone would love. What again is acting like other animals. Example would be eating anything that they did and polar bear traits of jumping up and down with her front paws to bust ice for a drink.
