About this campaign
Chiisai has been with me since 2009 as a gift from my mom, so she has been with me all her life. She is my only pet. Her name means "Small" or "Tiny" in Japanese, which I chose because Pomeranians are small dogs! She can be shy in large crowds, but gets along with big dogs 1-on-1.
On Feb. 25th 2024 Chiisai started struggling to stand on hard surfaces, but could generally walk around and play while on grass or carpeted flooring. I took her to her general veterinarian, who gave her medication, but her condition worsened to a complete inability to walk. I'm looking to finance an MRI and possible spinal surgery through Pet Specialist of Austin.
Chiisai really enjoys going for walks and she would spin in circles when she sees her leash or her k( Sports Pack to be carried in. She loves chasing tennis balls, and her favorite stuffed toy is a duck, but she never tears it up or makes it squeak - I think it's more like her baby. She doesn't like seeing people hug me, unless she gets to be included in the hug, then its okay.
I lack an emergency fund and access to loans to pay for the cost of her care after insurance coverage. Surgery MIGHT help her walk again, and I just want to give everything I can a try.
