About this campaign
We got our dog Chili through a wonderful rescue called Street Savvy Rescue. They brought her to Oregon from a kill shelter in Texas. She had 9 babies that also found amazing homes. I was going to foster but as soon as we saw her cute little face we knew we were going to keep her and it was like she knew she was home. We love her so much.
Chili didn't really know how to be a dog. We don't know her back story much, but she isn't a dog that likes toys or to go outside and play by herself. She wants to be with her people. She gets the zoomies and will run around the house like crazy but she's got no interest in a toy . She will play with stuffed animals but only as long as you are playing with her.
Chili has a very nonchalant behavior. We have 2 cats, the older one absolutely loves Chili and cuddles with her all the time. Chili doesn't seem to love or hate it. She is a big girl but seems to think she is a 10 pound lap dog. You will usually find her laying on or next to one of her humans, but I am her person. On any bad day her love and cuddles make me feel better.
Chili had been living on the streets in Texas and placed in a kill shelter before she came to us. She did have heartworm but was treated and currently negative. She has a mass near her vaginal area that needs to be removed, not only the cancer possibility, but it can cause a blockage and other issues. We have been working with Companion Animal Hospital.
I am a single parent with a only one income and while all the costs of living go up, my income doesn't. Right now I have to make a choice between rent or my dogs health and there is no way I can not choose my dog. She is a part of our family.
