Our neighbors had chili before us-they hadn’t had her very long and one day she ran over to our yard to introduce herself and I was immediately in love! the neighbor walked over and asked my fiancé if we wanted her. We thought he was joking, but he turns out he wasn’t! our plate was already full with a 5 month old baby and 3 other dogs, but we said yes and she has been part of our family since!

Our dog was hit by a car Monday night, as we were bringing in groceries she slipped under our feet and out the door. She ran behind our house to a street over and a car sped through and hit her, severely injuring her front right paw. This was her only injury, but it is unfortunately not repairable and the only option is amputation of the leg.

Chili is so high energy, she is so playful-She is the only dog I’ve ever seen entertain herself by blowing bubbles in her water bowl! she is the closest in age to my son and we have seen them grow and play together, they have created a really special bond. we love her so much and can’t imagine our family without her. She has such a fun personality and never fails to make us laugh.

This was a horrible accident that we weren’t financially prepared for. she is still a puppy and will be able live a full,happy life without her leg & we feel there is no other option than to get her the care she needs and get her on the road to recovery as soon as possible!
