China is a 7-year-old Pit Bull in New Haven, CT, who needs $1,700 for Ovariohysterectomy.

China was given to me as a gift going into highschool summer of 2013. She is always very obedient and gentle when listening to commands. She is very attentive and soft when around children. She knows a ton of tricks and will do anything for a treat! She is terrified of baths so i always have to carry her into the bathroom for a wash LOL. nonetheless, she still loves me!

China sleeps on her tempurpedic bed right in her own little space next to the dining room. She loves to take long walks down to Edgewood park where she can interact with other dogs and even go for a swim in the pond. When coming into contact with anyone she is always super excited to get pet and to meet someone new. She loves playing hide and seek in the house.. for treats of course !

I am a college student, paying for my tuition and books almost by myself and China has always been there for me when no one else was. She's a great comforter and knows how to cheer me up. I want to be there for her to show her so much of the world because she deserves it.

Unfortunately, she has never been spayed, so as a result of this she has acquired a condition called open pyometra. She now has to get an emergency surgery to remove her uterus which is producing a toxic pus within her. She is currently suffering from vomiting, uncontrollable urination mixed with blood/pus, dehydration, and is refusing to eat anything. She is in lots of pain.

China is a very unique Pitbull; she does not live up to the stereotypes the world seems to put on her breed. They tend to paint a picture of this vicious beast however she is very gentle at all times. The most she will do when she is upset is walk away or take a big flop to the floor. When she is afraid she constantly licks her lips and stares at the floor so in that case she needs cuddles.
