About this campaign

Chip joined our barn cat colony 5 years ago. He was in a shelter and was deemed unadoptable because of his behavior while being confined in a cage. When he arrived at the farm, we quickly discovered that he was very loving and clearly just didn't like the shelter. He quickly made friends with the resident barn cats and happily greeted his humans everyday.

Chip loves attention and greets his humans with purrs and leg rubs. He loves to snuggle on your lap, give kisses, and purrs super loud! He has a happy disposition and loves treats! At feeding time, he always gives extra leg rubs to thank his humans. He loves to explore outside and nap in the sun. He also loves to curl up in the cat tree in front of the window.

Chip's loving personality makes him extra special. He has the loudest purr and would be with his humans 24/7 if he could. He loves to play with feather toys and is a pro at tossing them in the air and catching them. He will drag his favorite blanket around the house and nap on it after he selects the perfect spot. He gives sandpaper kisses anytime he gets the opportunity.

Chip started having raspy breathing, lameness in his hind limbs, watery eyes, and lethargy. He was given antibiotics and a steroid shot. After 10 days, he was seen again and given another of antibiotic. After weeks of seeing temporary results, he had further testing and was diagnosed with a rare fungal infection that requires long term care.

I cannot imagine life without this amazingly sweet boy. He is now a house cat and an important member of our family. Dues to health issues and losing my job, I am seeking help to continue to give him the ongoing medical care he needs and deserves.
