Chloe came into my life 13 years ago after a friend found her tied to a fence. The vet said she was about a year old, and she’s been with me ever since — now 14. I named her after Chloe from 24 because I was constantly saying “dammit” like Jack Bauer — never in a mean way — and eventually it just made perfect sense to call her Chloe.

Chloe has been struggling with a persistent cough and isn’t herself. She improved after antibiotics and antacids, but wildfire smoke in NJ set her back. She still needs further care and possible chest X-rays. She was seen by Dr. Furst at Boulevard Veterinary Clinic in Kenilworth. Her visit was nearly $700, and he wanted another round of antibiotics plus cough meds, but I couldn’t afford both.

Chloe is so much more than a dog to us—she is family. She means the world to me and my son. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her. She is the biggest people-lover with the sweetest personality. I always joke that if someone broke into our house, Chloe wouldn’t protect us she'd probably just lick them to death. 😂 She brings so much happiness to everyone.
