Chloe is a 11-year-old Beagle in Florence, KY, who needs $2,000 for CT scan and mandible resection.

I found Chloe in 2009 darting across a road. She was about 2 months old. She didn't have a chip and no one came forward to claim her, so I gladly kept her. She is 11 now. She has a fur sister named Bagel the beagle. She came from the local shelter and is about 2 years old now. We have a happy little family!

Chloe enjoys going anywhere that involves her getting attention. She absolutely does not act like an 11 year old dog. Most of the day you can find her with her favorite black and white stuffed dog toy. She carries it around like a puppy and grooms it even. She has such a caring maternal instinct that comes natural to her.

I have maxed out my care credit card paying for the CT scan. I am still not able to cover the surgery. It's just me and the dogs at home. I work in healthcare. Right now it's extremely isolating and depressing. My dogs are all I have to come home to. I need them.

On 11/19 we noticed Chloe's face swelling on the right side. On 11/20 she was examined by Dr. Liga with Noah's Ark in Florence KY. The x-rays showed a mass in the soft tissue of her mouth back near her jaw. Chloe's bloodwork was good. Her chest x-ray was normal as well. On 11/23 we had a consult with Dr. Montes at CareCenter in Cincinnati. She recommended a CT scan and surgery to remove the mass.

Chloe is special because of her maternal instincts. When I got Bagel from the local shelter she had previously been a kennel dog. Constantly locked up in her own feces and had always been kept outside. Bagel didn't know how to walk through a door way, she would climb on end tables and coffee tables, she didn't even know what toys were. Chloe has taught her how to dog!
