About this campaign
Chloe is a gentle dog who has done everything right — and still kept getting left behind.
She was pulled from a crowded shelter and placed into foster care with a rescue, where she waited patiently for her chance at a new life. But during those weeks, something became clear: Chloe was in pain. She had a noticeable limp in her back leg — one that didn’t improve with rest or time. What followed was months of waiting.
Chloe spent weeks confined, then months in limbo, while decisions were made about her future. Eventually, it was confirmed that she had a serious knee injury involving her patella, with possible ligament damage. She needed surgery to walk comfortably again — but without it, she was considered unadoptable.
And when the cost became clear, Chloe was almost discarded entirely. Instead of receiving the medical care she desperately needed, Chloe faced being shipped away — a decision that would have meant the end of her life simply because she was injured.
Angel Dogs said no to that ending. Angel Dogs is a newer rescue with limited resources — but what they do have is commitment. Chloe wasn’t disposable. She wasn’t a problem. She was a dog who needed help.
Rather than letting finances decide Chloe’s fate, Angel Dogs committed to her surgery anyway — even placing the cost on Care Credit to ensure she gets the care she deserves. Chloe’s surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13th
Chloe has already waited long enough. She has already been overlooked long enough. Now, she finally has a chance — but Angel Dogs cannot carry this financial burden alone.

4/23/26 Update
After everything she’s been through, Chloe is finally on the path toward a more comfortable life. She’s resting, healing, and being closely monitored as she begins her recovery journey. For the first time in a long time, there is real relief in sight. But as her medical team continues to evaluate her condition, we’ve received difficult news.
The vet has confirmed that Chloe will need the same surgery on her other leg. This means that while we’ve taken a huge step forward, Chloe’s journey isn’t over yet. In fact, she still has another major hurdle ahead before she can truly live pain-free. Without addressing both knees, her long-term mobility and comfort will continue to be compromised.
Angel Dogs didn’t walk away from Chloe the first time — and they won’t now. But taking on a second orthopedic surgery is a significant financial strain for a small rescue that already stretched everything to give her this first chance.
Chloe is still the same gentle, patient dog who has waited far too long. She deserves to run without pain. She deserves a future where her body doesn’t hold her back.
If you’ve been following Chloe’s journey, please consider supporting her again. Your donation will help cover her second surgery and continued recovery so this can truly be her turning point—not just a temporary fix. She’s come this far because people chose to care. Let’s finish what we started—for Chloe.
6/15/26 Update
When Chloe's journey began, she was a dog in pain who had been overlooked time and time again. After being pulled from a crowded shelter and placed in foster care, it became clear that Chloe was suffering from a serious orthopedic injury. What followed were months of uncertainty, difficult decisions, and the heartbreaking reality that without surgery, she faced an uncertain future.
But thanks to the unwavering commitment of Angel Dogs and the incredible support of donors like you, Chloe got the chance she deserved.
Today, we are thrilled to share that Chloe is doing wonderfully.
After undergoing the surgeries she needed and completing her recovery, Chloe is finally able to do what every dog should be able to do—run, play, and enjoy life without pain. Seeing her race around the backyard with the other dogs, tail wagging and full of joy, is nothing short of incredible.
For a dog who once faced being discarded because of the cost of her care, watching her move freely and happily is the happy ending we all hoped for. Chloe's transformation is a powerful reminder that every animal deserves a chance, regardless of the obstacles they face. She was never disposable. She was simply waiting for someone to believe in her.
