Choco is a 9-year-old Pit Bull/ Lab mix in Troy, OH, who needs $1,100 for heart worm treatment protocol.

This is Choco who is a 100lb pit and lab mix and as you can see by his pretty chocolate coat how we came up with his name. He has been our beloved family member for 9 years now. Our father fell deeply in love with him the first time he laid eyes on him but now our father is gone and Choco definitely holds a special place in our heats because our father loved him dearly as we all still do.

Choco loves to cuddle with anyone who will take the time to love on him whether that be human or another furry friend. Whenever we come home from work he is always waiting by the door wagging his tail ready for his "loving". He lives with myself and my 2 younger brothers which he has since he was just a puppy. He definitely makes our house feel like a home.

It is just my 2 brothers and I and we are young and have dealt with a lot over the last year with the passing of our father and burial expenses that we were left to pay on our own. We just want Choco healthy and happy again.

Dr. Candy at North Main Animal Clinic diagnosed Choco with heart worm about a month ago after experiencing a hacking cough. Choco has otherwise been a healthy dog with no other health related issues. He is a big boy to say the least he is just over 100lb but he is still very active and loves to go to the park and jump in the water after his toys.

He was originally our fathers dog he was the apple of his eye (sometimes I think more than we were lol) but if you met Choco you would completely understand because there is no such thing as a bad day when he is around. He has the biggest goofy smile and it usually comes out when he is being his normal rotten self.
