About this campaign
We got chocolate the first week of October of 2021, we saw a post of him online saying he needed a home and if a home couldn’t be found they would be taking him to a shelter and since COVID all the shelters are full and some are having to put them down since they are overflowing so we decided to rescue him. When we got him my little brothers decides to call him chocolate because of his fur color.
Chocolate enjoys fetching balls and playing with dinosaurs toys. He is a very playful dog that likes being around people and kids. He is normally a inside dog but goes outside everyday to play and get his exercise in. He takes turns sleeping with my sisters and brothers in our bed. He is always the last one to get up from bed.
He enjoys playing with dinosaurs toys at first he starts barking at them to see if they will move and after 5 mins of him noticing their toys he plays with them and takes them everywhere with him. When he does something wrong and he knows it he comes to us and starts licking us and being over friendly to get out of trouble so we know when he does something wrong because of his behavior.
He got hit by a car an has 5 broken bones on one leg and his other leg is fractured as well. The surgeon said he needs surgery quickly but we need half of the money beforehand for them to go ahead with surgery. Right now he is at Huntsville Veterinary Specialists & Emergency. We been visiting and trying to do anything to raise money for his surgery, he is just sad and on pain medication.
This incident was so unexpected and we didn’t have an emergency saving so it’s hard to raise money for the surgery. If any could help with anything it would mean the world to us. He has personally helped me get through some rough moments and he’s so special to us.
