About this campaign
Chrissy came to live with me around October 2018. She is the dog of my daughter's boyfriend. She was full of energy, robust, playful, ran to the door to go outside every hour when she first came to my home. She is super loving and sweet. Her owner, Justin, says she was a rescue dog . In May 2019 he and Chrissy moved out . Chrissy's health, since they moved out, has declined terribly. She was thin when I first met her and now her ribs are showing and her back two pelvic bones. She can barely get up to eat and go out. She used to run to the door and now we have to help her get to it. She is not old but a young dog. Justin cannot afford to take her to the vet as he makes minimum wage and barely makes enough to pay rent. I took her to a vet three weeks ago and had blood work and xrays done. Everything came back ok except minor liver values out of range. Nothing on x-rays popped up. At that time she had a high fever so they gave her an antibiotic. She has declined since that visit. Now she can barely move to get up and eat and go outside. She is so thin.
