Chuey is a 7-year-old Chihuahua in Mechanicsville, VA, who needs $2,000 for Mandibular Fracture Repair.

This is Chuey! He has just turned 8 years old and he was a gift to me from Chuck after Pepe' passed away. He was so tiny!! He still is tiny only 6 lbs or so.

Chuey is a character, born an old man. He's a growler and tells you when you are invading his space. He loves to sit in your lap once he knows you though. Chuck's lap is his favorite. He gets along with the other dogs and cats. There is nothing better than to see him at the door when you come home from.

Chuey has always been kind of a loner although he loves his two sisters, Bella another chihuahua and Delilah the dobie but he will steal Delilah's spot on the couch in a minute!

So Chuey has a seriously broken jaw and some cervical trauma and requires surgery to get it fixed. His little mouth hangs down on one side and his little tongue sticks out. He is in so much pain, We have to take him to James River Veterinary Surgery Dr. Roy Barnes He has to have this surgery on Monday 9/25/2023.

We are devastated that Chuey needs surgery. He is so little. It also hurts that we are having trouble coming up with the funds. It is a very large expense that our emergency fund wasn't prepared for. We don't want to put off surgery because Chuey is in terrible pain.
